ROUTE 1: Downtown Hall Street Transfer Center to the Grand Traverse Mall

 

* Beginning October 20, Route 1 will visit GT Crossings on the outbound, but return directly inbound from GT Mall without stopping again at GT Crossings.  Route 7 will visit both GT Mall and GT Crossings in both directions.

Route 2: Downtown Hall Street Transfer Center to Library/SOS/GT Health/Goodwill Inn

 

Note:  The first morning inbound will begin at Goodwill Inn at 6:00 am Monday-Friday and 9am Saturdays.

* Beginning October 20, Route 2 will no longer visit Goodwill Inn.  Route 7 will visit Goodwill Inn and connect directly to Route 2 at LaFranier Transfer.  Route 13 would also deviate directly to Goodwill Inn on its 8:30am, 3:30pm, and 5:30pm outbounds.

 

  • City Loop 2's temporary outbound stop across BATA's new LaFranier Transfer Park-n-Ride at Parkside Blvd will move to the shelters across the street on October 20.  Until then, riders can transfer to Route 7 to Garfield Rd (at the stop) or Route 13 to Kingsley (carefully cross LaFranier Rd to the BATA Transfer area or stay on the bus for its inbound return)

WEST FLEX (Previously Route 4)

8am-2:30pm Monday-Friday between Hall Street, West Front Street, Munson Hospital, Oleson's West, Brookside Commons, YMCA, and Meijer - with deviation possibilities between 8am and 2pm along Medical Campus Drive, W. Royal Drive, Long Lake Rd, Silver Lake Rd, and Herkner Rd.

 

There are also school-day-only seasonal early-morning and afternoon trips to/from Traverse City West Senior High School and The Children's House.  On school days, WEST leaves Hall Street at 7:25, arriving to WSH by 7:55 and TCH by 8:00.  It departs WSH each school day at 3:10pm, then departs Hall Street at 3:25pm for Compass Middle students to travel to TCH by 3:45, and back at Hall Street by 4:00pm.  This schedule is modified for WSH students on any day where students are dismissed early.  See www.bata.net/west for more info.

 

 

BATA West Flex operates hourly between 8:05am (inbound to Hall Street from Brookside Commons) and 2:30pm (2:00 inbound to Hall Street from Meijer) Monday - Friday.  Village Loop Flex $3.00 Fare Applies.

 

 

 

 

 

Route 5 is coming October 20th!  Hourly from LaFranier Transfer to Garfield Rd (including Oak Terrace, Sugar Plum, and Aspen Hills), Hastings Rd (including Annika Place II and Father Fred), Titus/Fair, and NMC Dennos Museum.  

 

 

 

City Loop Route 7: Meijer, Grand Traverse Crossings, LaFranier and Garfield Corridors

 

* Beginning October 20, Route 7 will visit Goodwill Inn, Keystone Village Apts, LaFranier Transfer, Barlow Street north to the Salvation Army, Park Rd., BAM, GT Crossing (new pullout), GT Mall, Panera/GW Lodge, and Meijer.

 
 
The Garfield corridor will be served by NEW Route 5.
 

City Loop 7 has a temporary stop located at Parkside Blvd across from BATA's new LaFranier Transfer Park-n-Ride.  From here, riders can transfer to Route 2 to Goodwill Inn (at the stop) or Route 13 to Kingsley (carefully cross LaFranier Rd to the BATA Transfer area or stay on the bus for its westbound return).  This temporary stop will be moved to the shelters across the street on October 20th.
