Bayline - Free Along the Bays

Free bus from Meijer to West Bay and from West Bay to East Bay

 

 

Other than special events like Cherry Fest, Bayshore Marathon, and others when it has extended hours, the free Bayline runs seven days a week from 6:30am–10pm Monday - Friday (begins at 7am Saturday) with 15 minute frequency and 9am - 9pm Sunday .  From East Bay Beach District to downtown Traverse City, plus a connection to Grand Traverse Commons and Meijer:  The Bayline takes you where you need to go, for free!

Do you carry a mobile device?  Find your bus using the Transit App (or click here to use the Transit App Trip Planner website on your phone or computer) or you may find bus directions using Google Maps Transit.  You may also visit www.batabustracker.com to follow the GPS tracker on your bus as it moves along the route to your stop. 

 

 

The Meijer Bayline is now bypassing all stops between the W. Front Maple Street stops and Eleventh @ Elmwood (NEW TEMPORARY STOP THERE) for a construction detour away from Elmwood St.  Use BATA's Flex 4 West, LINK, walk, or bike during this time.

 

The East Bay Bayline will only run the 'A' bus EVERY Thursday and Friday for 30-minute frequency instead of the usual 15 minutes until further notice due to staff shortages.

 

Construction at US 31 @ Three Mile Road is complete - Three-Mile Road  stops will be open as soon as both signs are in place.  The stops near the campground side of the state park may be open in the near future. 

 

The Bayline runs every 30 minutes on Sunday. Green highlights in the schedule below (Bus B) will not operate on Sunday.  

From June 15-June 25, BATA will be transitioning from the East Bay Woodland Creek/Urgent Care location to the nearby TBA Credit Union ATM parking lot located on Holiday Rd next to Walgreens and on the TART Trail.  Please use the Urgent Care location until the bus shelter has been moved.  Thank you.

 

True North Urgent Care Park-n-Ride is still our temporary end point for Bayline to East Bay, formally Woodland Creek. Note allowed parking at the Urgent Care:
