How to Purchase Tickets

 

Fare cards for bus transportation can be purchased at the Hall Street transfer station or riders can pay with cash when boarding the bus.   Link riders may also pay using the BATA Link app.  


 

Where: Hall Street Transfer Station located at 115 Hall Street, Traverse City.

 

Payment: Visa, MasterCard, debit card, cash, or local check with I.D.

 

At this time, fare passes cannot be purchased at BATA's LaFranier Park-n-Ride.

 

EZ Fare begins September of 2026!  This will enable account holders to add funds remotely, cancel lost cards, use mobile phones for payment, and never pay more than $5 per day/$20 per week/$40 per month for unlimited City & Village Fixed Loop rides (50% discount applies for reduced fare riders).  Beginning later in the fall 2026, riders can tap a credit card as they board the bus to pay instead of looking for cash.  EZ Fare account holders may also add cash to their accounts at Hall Street, LaFranier, and at area stores such as Dollar General, 7-Eleven, Speedway, CVS, Family Dollar, and more!
