Purchase BATA fare passes at Hall Street Transfer Station located at 115 Hall Street, Traverse City.  

At this time, fare passes cannot be purchased at BATA's LaFranier Park-n-Ride.

EZ Fare begins August 17th, 2026!  This will enable account holders to add funds remotely, cancel lost cards, use mobile phones for payment, and never pay more than $5 per day/$20 per week/$40 per month for unlimited City & Village Fixed Loop rides (50% discount applies for reduced fare riders).  Beginning fall 2026, riders can tap a credit card as they board the bus to pay instead of looking for cash.  EZ Fare account holders may also add cash to their accounts at Hall Street, LaFranier, and at area stores such as Dollar General, 7-Eleven, Speedway, CVS, Family Dollar, and more!

Make it a lunch date.  Would you like to just "try" transit before you commit to a longer term relationship?  Riders new or returning to BATA can visit the Traverse Area District Library's website to reserve your spot in line to check out a free BATA City and Village Loop 31-Day Commuter Pass.  The library has a limited number of passes (3) to distribute each month and we appreciate your patience. Once you use the Commuter Pass, riders can refill the value of their card at Hall Street.

 

 

 

Daily Zip Tickets will be available for purchase on both Link and Loop buses by cash only. Change, if necessary, will be issued in the form of a change card, which can be used for future fare payments. Refunds are not offered.

 

Zip Tickets and Zoom Cards are available at the Hall Street station. You can pay with cash, check and Visa or MasterCard.
