A Personal Care Assistant (PCA) that is necessary for mobility may ride with a paid rider at not cost. Please contact BATA at 231-941-2324 about adding this allowance to your Reduced Fare Card.

If you're a senior or a rider with a disability and plan to travel outside of BATA's service area you may want to consider participating in MDOT's Universal Fare Card pilot program. Learn more.
EZ Fare begins September of 2026! This will enable account holders to add funds remotely, cancel lost cards, use mobile phones for payment, and never pay more than $5 per day/$20 per week/$40 per month for unlimited City & Village Fixed Loop rides (50% discount applies for reduced fare riders). Beginning later in the fall 2026, riders can tap a credit card as they board the bus to pay instead of looking for cash. EZ Fare account holders may also add cash to their accounts at Hall Street, LaFranier, and at area stores such as Dollar General, 7-Eleven, Speedway, CVS, Family Dollar, and more!
