Village Loop Route 11 Seasonal
Service Alert: Village Loop Route 11 – Glen Arbor service will be temporarily modified starting Monday, Feb. 17, 2020. Village Loop Route 11 will become a seasonal offering due to low ridership in the off-season (November – April) and will return to its normal schedule providing multiple trips per day on Saturday, May 16 when ridership demand traditionally increases.
A Village Link hybrid service has been created to continue to offer dedicated trips between Maple City, Cedar and Traverse City Monday through Friday with runs at 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. to and from Traverse City. Prior reservations are not needed, and flag stops and deviations are permitted. Fare will remain the same and cost $3.00 one-way or a $1.50 for those who qualify for reduced fare. Weekday AM service from Maple City to downtown Traverse City
7:00 a.m. – Pick-up in Maple City at the Lions Club bus shelter
7:05 a.m. – Pick-up in Cedar at Cedar Road @ Sullivan Street bus stop
7:25 a.m. – Drop-off at BATA’s Hall Street Transfer Station in Traverse City
Weekday PM service from downtown Traverse City to Maple City
5:30 p.m. – Departure from BATA’s Hall Street Transfer Station in Traverse City
5:50 p.m. – Arrival in Cedar at Cedar Road @ Sullivan Street bus stop
5:55 p.m. – Arrival in Maple City Lions Club bus shelter
Village Link service is available for any additional transportation needs that fall outside of these dedicated runs. BATA’s Village Link demand-response service is available to anyone who needs door-to-door transportation in Leelanau County. Village Link service is available Monday – Friday from 5:00 a.m. until midnight in Leelanau County and reservations can be made up to two weeks in advance by calling 231.941.2324.
