BATA and TCAPS are partnering to provide transportation support. Please review the options below to determine which BATA service works best for your transportation needs.

BATA buses are now tracked with GPS so riders can find their accurate location and arrival times.  Go to www.batabustracker.com to find your ride or download the Transit App.

Free Rides:TCHS students can show their IDs and ride for free on any morning or afternoon fixed route. NOTE: Free rides do not apply to BATA’s Link service.  Free ride is good for one-way, and one destination outbound - students should ask for a transfer ticket on their firs bus if they plan to transfer to a second bus for their final destination.

  • The morning Route 14 bus can deviate to Traverse City High School by request.  From Hall Street Transfer Station downtown departing at 6:30am, it will arrive at TCHS at around 7:02am.  From Acme or from a Bayline transfer from the east, Route 14 will arrive at TCHS at around 7:49am.
  • Each afternoon, Route 14 will arrive TCHS at 2:50pm as the TCAPS buses are preparing to depart.  Students may ride BATA inbound to downtown Traverse City to NMC/CHS, or to connect to Bayline and other routes.
