What if you could no longer drive?

How would you get to work? Pick up your child from daycare? Get to the doctor’s office, grocery store or church? Unfortunately, many in our community face these transportation challenges.

YOU CAN HELP!

Do you like to meet new people? Could you drive someone to a doctor’s appointment? The Northwest Michigan Transportation Alliance is looking for volunteer drivers in Grand Traverse, Leelanau, and Benzie counties. Volunteers pick up the client at their house, drive them to their appointment & take them home (and perhaps make a trip to the pharmacy).

Requirements:

  • Clean driving record • Able to pass a background check
  • Able to assist a client in & out of the car
  • Have access to a safe, reliable car

This is a very flexible volunteer opportunity, no experience necessary. You drive your own car.
